Subcontractor FAQs

Contact us and we will send you the relevant forms and training requirements. We will then review your experience, capability and suitability before confirming the next steps.
-
This can be done by you or by Rock Materials. If needed, we can price the flat roof package for you, including the membrane system, accessories and delivery requirements. You can then apply your labour rates and margin.
-
We have a standard price list, but we can also provide project-specific pricing support where required.
-
Training depends on your team’s existing experience. If your team already has single ply membrane experience, product-specific training can often be completed in a shorter session. If your team is new to single ply membrane, we provide more detailed training and support until the installers are comfortable with the product and installation requirements.
-
We provide all training necessary to successfully install the systems. We can also provide a full-time working manager to make sure that your team is comfortable with all aspects of the installation.cription
-
We can provide the training and support needed to help your team install the system correctly. Where required, we can also provide additional site support or a working manager to help your team become comfortable with the installation process.

No. Renolit membrane systems should only be installed by competent, conscientious roofing contractors who are willing to follow the correct training, detailing and installation requirements. If you are keen to learn and install correctly, we are happy to help.
Main Contractor FAQs
-
Contact us with your project location and requirements, and we will come back to you with suitable roofing contractor options where available.
-
We visit site periodically to check that the installation is being carried out in line with Renolit standard details, project requirements and agreed quality expectations.
-
We help make sure the specification matches the needs of the project, support design coordination where required, provide project-specific details where needed, and periodically monitor installation to help identify issues before they become defects.
See our Installation Monitoring and Warranty Support page for more information.
-
Yes. Roofing contractors installing Renolit membrane systems must complete the relevant product training and approval process with Rock Materials.
-
Warranty options of up to 20 years may be available, subject to the specific Renolit system, project requirements, correct installation, documentation and sign-off.
-
We will help coordinate an inspection with the roofing contractor to identify the cause and agree the appropriate next steps. Where needed, Rock Materials may also attend site to inspect and survey the issue.
-
Single ply membrane roofs require relatively low maintenance, but like all roofs, regular inspections are recommended. We generally advise inspections twice per year to check for debris, dirt build-up, vegetation growth, drainage issues, damage or anything unusual on the roof.
See our Technical Resources page for our single ply roofing maintenance guide.
-
We aim to inspect weekly or at pre-agreed stages depending on the project programme, roof size and installation sequence.
