Mechanically fastened ALKORPLAN membranes
Mechanically fastened ALKORPLAN systems are designed for efficient installation on suitable commercial flat roof build-ups, with the membrane secured to the roof deck using approved mechanical fixings.
This system can be a strong option where speed of installation, wind uplift resistance, programme control and future access are important. Reflective BRIGHT and SMART options are available for projects where solar exposure and roof surface temperature are key considerations.
Suitable for: All exposed flat roof applications, new build roof applications, refurbishment or overlay situations subject to Rock Materials technical assessment, projects requiring efficient installation and projects seeking reflective membrane options
Available options include: ALKORPLAN BRIGHT — bright white, high SRI option & ALKORPLAN SMART — cool ivory and cool grey options
Adhered ALKORPLAN membranes
Adhered ALKORPLAN systems are bonded to the roof build-up using compatible adhesive systems, creating a clean, fully supported membrane finish without visible mechanical fastener patterns across the field area.
An adhered system can be suitable where the roof design, substrate, detailing requirements or aesthetic expectations make bonding preferable to mechanical fixing. ALKORPLAN BRIGHT adhered options are available for projects requiring high solar reflectance.
Best suited for: Roof areas where visible mechanical fixing under the roof substrate is not preferred, projects requiring a higher aesthetic membrane appearance, new build roof applications, refurbishment or overlay situations, subject to Rock Materials technical assessment, roofs with suitable substrates for bonding, projects requiring high-reflectance BRIGHT membrane options

Loose laid ballasted ALKORPLAN membranes
Loose laid ballasted ALKORPLAN systems are installed in buried roof applications where ballast, paving, roof finishes or protected build-ups form part of the design. Correct detailing, ballast specification, wind uplift assessment and drainage design are essential to long-term performance.
